DEFA car heater adapter
thingiverse
Mounting a DEFA car heater with a single bolt, such as attaching it to a steel grid. Fits the DEFA bracket using wood screws and an 8mm bolt in the center hole. I mounted it to a steel grid in the back of my wife's pickup truck with a 50mm square shim and secured it with foam tape. The fit is real tight, providing a steady and relatively fire-safe mount. By positioning it high up and attaching it to steel, the risk of accidental coverage and resulting fire hazard is greatly reduced. Additionally, its slightly angled design promotes safer airflow and easier access to the release mechanism. Print this model upside down from what it appears on Thingiverse. I printed it in PETG using thick upper and lower layers with 20%+ infill to ensure a secure hold for bolt tightening. This version has some differences compared to my previous print, as I realized that using wood screws would be much easier than M3 bolts.
