Deer-Head

Deer-Head

A friend gifted me antlers for my new home, but the rest of the deer's head was missing. I decided to create a new one, using beech-tree plywood for the head and 128-year-old German oak-tree (thanks to Grandpa) for the wall shield. To attach the antlers, I glued thread inserts and hinges for machine frame construction. I used the 123D Catch app from Autodesk on Android to get an accurate 3D model of the antlers. Now, hanging at my hall, it's sturdy enough to serve as a wardrobe. For Christmas, Rudi will also receive a Santa Clause hat!
