Deep thought / Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy / 42
thingiverse
This model draws inspiration from Deep Thought in the movie adaptation of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," released in 2005. Viewers who haven't seen the film are strongly encouraged to watch it now. Those who have watched the film should recognize the character. As an artist, I am not skilled, and the model representation is straightforward. Three versions are available: 1 - An initial model that cannot be printed due to its flat bottom. 2 - A fully supported printing version, with every possible support included. 3 - A model featuring head supports but lacking mouth supports. Here's how it works: Printed models use 0.1mm layer thickness, a speed of 100mm/s, 230-degree temperature and 30% infill settings. The smaller model does not feature mouth supports. Based on scale considerations, I believe mouth supports should be unnecessary for larger prints as well. For this reason, it is recommended to try version 3 first. Modifying the design is appreciated - my artistic skills are limited. Please note that I am eagerly awaiting a chance to use Colorfabb Copperfill fillament.
