Deep Freezer Latch
thingiverse
I recently noticed that my deep freezer's lid no longer seals properly due to its own weight. To compensate, I had been placing a heavy object on it so that it would seal tightly, which was quite inconvenient. I initially designed this latch system specifically to keep the lid tightly sealed. The "latch" screws directly onto the lid itself, while the "catch" screws are mounted to the front main body of the freezer. I opted for short self-tapping sheet metal screws for this setup. To open the latch, simply lift up on its bottom section. To lock it in place, push down firmly on the lid, and it should function perfectly.
