Deej keypad combo
thingiverse
I wanted a deej with a slider for a main volume control and 3 knobs for individual application volume control. But I also wanted to use some left over keycaps from my keyboard. I used Cherry MX/Kailh pro burgundy switches in this build. The switches are spaced evenly from each other and they mount snug in the face plate. The face plate bows a small amount with all the switches in place and to keep it flat I have 2 mounts that hold with screws from the bottom of the case. The other 2 mounts are there to add more support and stop any flex when using the keypad. Hardware used is a slide pot and 3 potentiometers with 13mm shafts and 1 arduino pro micro. The pro micro slots into the bottom of the case and can be held with some hot glue. The slide pot will mount to the top plate with 2 screws and when assembled the other 2 screws come from the bottom of the case. The 3 potentiometers have a small opening to lock them in place and will be held with a thin retaining ring on the top. I used #4x3/8 pan head phillips sheet metal screws and its modeled around that fitment. The knobs used are https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2563351 The slider is https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1445081 THIS HAS TO BE SCALED UP it wont fit without a small amount of scaling. You'll have to play with the scale a bit to make it fit snug. Or find a new knob and print that.
