This is for my grandmother, who has a thimble collection that's truly impressive, and she specifically asked me to create one with a picture of our village. So here it is - I hope she loves it! To make it last forever, you can fill the interior with transparent resin. The freecad file might look a bit messy, but don't worry about that. It's actually recommended to resize the design by 10% in order to make it more suitable for printing, as the original size is quite large. However, since this thimble is specifically designed for her collection, she can decide whether or not to resize it. To ensure proper adhesion and prevent warping, I recommend turning the model upside down, that's 180 degrees. Now let's talk about print settings: Rafts: Feel free to ignore these altogether if you prefer. Supports: Yes, please use supports - they'll help hold everything together nicely. Resolution: In my opinion, a resolution of 0.1 is ideal for this design. Infill: I've chosen an infill density of 20% - it's just the right balance between strength and weight. As for how I designed this thimble, I used Free Cad to create the model from scratch.
