Frame Design for e011 FC and 6mm Motors Actual Weight: 1.71g Quickie Build I needed a frame for an old project, so I designed one using the FCB for added rigidity. The design is minimalistic, with a frame height of just 3.2mm. It should be strong enough to withstand acro flights, and I plan to add light foam cowling to the motors and camera. FCB Mounting Details The FCB mounting holes are slightly too close together, but it's not an issue since they're 2mm in diameter on the board. To secure the sides of the FCB, I'll use glue to hold them in place. The motor sleeves aren't tight, so I'll add pods for vertical alignment. Build Weight With a clean build, you could easily reach 17g. Even with a cruddy superlight camera, it might be possible to go under 20g. OpenSCAD Source Available I've added the OpenSCAD source file for reference. Note that the motor sleeves are slightly loose due to the design parameters. I recommend adjusting the radius to 3.16mm or 3.18mm for a tighter fit, depending on your print quality. If needed, you can use extra ABS and acetone to achieve better results instead of drilling out a too-small sleeve.
