By deploying decoy cabbage white butterflies, you can deter them from laying eggs on your produce. These oversized decoys appear intimidating to the butterflies, preventing them from approaching. Feel free to customize the design further. Ignore any butterflies attempting to mate with the decoys, as these are likely male butterflies that do not lay eggs. To set up the decoy, print it in white (or spray paint) and melt a piece of filament into its socket on the underside. Warm up a strip along the "body" and bend the wings slightly upward, creating a dihedral shape. Mark black spots on each smaller wing lobe with a permanent marker, and place the decoy above your crops for a caterpillar-free environment.
