This exquisite vase was crafted by Isidore de Rudder in approximately 1895. Prior to its creation, Rudder had spent a decade honing his skills at the esteemed Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels from 1869 to 1879. As an accomplished artist, he went on to become a professor at the same institution from 1911 to 1915 and again from 1919 to 1926. His extensive travels to England, Germany, and France were made possible by his prestigious win of the Belgian Academy Award in 1880.
