This 3D model was initially designed using SketchUp 13 and later converted into different 3D formats. The original file format is .skp, while the 3DS Max version is 2016, rendered with Vray 3.00. The Eclipse metal sphere, a decorative spherical astrolabe made of copper, adds charm to any desk and complements one's mood. It can be paired with the Around the World globe. The sphere measures 46cm in height, 36cm in width, and 36cm in depth, weighing 4.5kg. Purchase it for €169 from Maison du Monde (Ref: 130589). It has approximately 3912 polygons. Textures can be found within the .skp file, and the following software makes extraction easy: SketchUp (free), C4D (trial version sufficient), 3DS Max, or Rhinoceros 3D (trial version enough). To extract textures from a .skp file in SketchUp, export it as a 2D file under File/Export/2D Graphic - drop-down option. In C4D, importing the .skp file automatically generates a folder with textures. In 3DS Max, textures are stored in the ..3dsMaxsceneassetsimages directory or can be exported as an FBX file with embedded media. In Rhinoceros 3D, open the material editor, select any material with a texture, click on the three-dot button next to the texture name, and locate them in the ..AppDataLocalTempembedded_files directory. Feel free to copy and paste these textures to your desired folder.
