Decorative picture frame A3

Decorative picture frame A3

I created this decorative picture frame because I wanted to display that papyrus on the wall without breaking the bank. The price tag of 30 money was steep, so I opted for a simple 5 money frame without a border and designed my own custom frame instead. It's held in place with some Super-tack or double-sided tape stuck directly onto the glass. I intentionally designed this frame to be printed in multiple pieces, allowing users to adjust them for different size frames. Since it doesn't need to be extremely sturdy, I made it printable in vase mode as well. To assemble the pieces, I used two-component glue and aligned them with the glass as a guide before painting them with acrylic paint. For my A3 frame (420x297), I used 4 Piece1s, 4 mirrored Piece1s, 2 Piece3s, and an extrusion width of 0.7mm. Feel free to use the included FreeCad source to modify it for your specific frame size. This project is mostly meant as a demonstration of how to create a large decorative frame easily: * Design the frame * Cut it into pieces * Print them vertically in vase mode * Glue the pieces together * Paint them * Attach the custom frame to a glass frame using Super-tack or double-sided tape I'm open to any feedback, suggestions, or creations you'd like to share. Please post your own makes and let's see what kind of amazing things we can come up with!
