Various formats are available, including 3ds (simple object with mapping), dxf (similar to 3ds), obj, Scanline *.max (with textures and materials for 3ds max 7), V-Ray *.max (with textures and shaders), and *.max (7 or higher). All formats exclude textures and materials in simple objects but include mapping.
