Double Axes were highly revered in ancient Mediterranean civilizations for their ritual and sacred significance. A typical Double Axe consists of a sturdy handle and an axe head, precision-crafted from steel into two symmetrical crescent shapes around the central axis. The axe tube terminates at a flat tip featuring a distinctive notched "apple" and rhombic plume design. Crafted with exceptional craftsmanship, the handle is made of robust steel in an octagonal shape, topped with a knob for secure grip. Delicate engravings adorn the tip in Arabic script (1201-?); both the axe and the tip showcase intricate floral ornamentation and stylized animal images. The upper portion of the handle boasts an elegant floral pattern inlaid with silver accents. This remarkable artifact hails from Iran or the Caucasus region, crafted between the 18th to 20th centuries using steel as its primary material. The decoration technique employed engraving and silvering methods, yielding a total length of 84.5 cm and a weight of 1.729 kg.
