I designed my gimbal for a Storm32-base brushless gimbal like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/FPV-3Axis-Brushless-Gimbal-Gopro-Camera-Stabilizer-Motor-Storm32-Controller-US/182572031981?_trkparms=aid%3D555017%26algo%3DPL.CASSINI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150817211709%26meid%3Db9ee3ce752c04f16bd551bbfd52910dd%26pid%3D100506%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D182572031981&_trksid=p2045573.c100506.m3226 In my case, I used the NT version of the controller, allowing me to route all wiring through the hollow gimbal motor shafts and hide the cables from the camera IMU board under these covers altogether. With an I2C version of the controller and IMUs, electromagnetic interference from high-current motor cables could interfere with low-current I2C signals, making it inadvisable to keep them close together.
