The human holds a handle and an axe head in its grasp. The axe itself is shaped like a crescent moon, forged from a durable copper alloy that resists corrosion. A sturdy wooden handle complements the axe, its round shape secured with a steel plate featuring longitudinal canals for added strength. A beautifully crafted bird figure adorns the blunt side of the axe head, rendered in intricate detail through engraving techniques. Floral ornaments on both sides of the axe head showcase two stylized animal figures, adding an air of elegance to this ancient tool. This remarkable artifact hails from Iran or possibly the Caucasus region, a testament to the ingenuity of its creators who worked during the 18th to 19th centuries. The materials used in its construction include steel for the axe head and wooden handle, with copper alloy adding an extra layer of durability. Engraving was employed as the primary decoration technique, resulting in a visually striking piece that measures 47 centimeters in length and 16.5 centimeters in width, weighing a mere 0.8 kilograms.
