I made this decorative item for my wife after she spotted something similar in a home decor store. I decided to create my own version and print it for her myself. When I designed it using Design Spark, the result was surprisingly small, so I scaled it up to fit my printer's bed size. The image you see is actually 1000% scaled up from the original design. I used Hatchbox wood filament and Slic3r PE to slice it with standard PLA settings. The print came out perfectly fine using a .4 nozzle, but for future prints, I plan to switch to a .5 or .6 nozzle for better results. Since the color and texture turned out great, I didn't bother with any post-printing modifications like sanding or staining.
