I'm putting forward my idea for the redesigned mechanism. The underlying process is straightforward. When the handle is turned, the rubber plate glides across the lift plate and gradually raises upwards, steadily opening the vent over time. Simultaneously, the indicators positioned above and below indicate whether the vent is fully open or securely closed. A thoughtful design feature built into the inner gallery of the top cover allows it to deflect random water splashes with ease.
