Deck Crane additional parts
thingiverse
Thingiverse ate my summary :-( I did like the folding knuckle boom deck crane model but I did not like the assembly and some parts missing for completion. Those I'd like to share. The base was modified to add slewing capabilites with a 5mm center hole. The is a fitting pin to be glued to the bottom of the upright. The backcover is very fragile so watch out. The 4 joint linkage was incomplete and incorrectly assembled in the original. The missing parts are provided. For assembly of the linkage the long links (aka piston-connector) need to be cut behind the collar and glued back together afterwards. The short links have two lengths: the shorter ones are for the joint between upright and boom 1. The pins of the hydraulic1-piston are too long, so I#ve cut them for assembly. Boom1 is shown in the original pictures flipped. The end with 3 pins shall be oriented to the upright side. The rod end of the hydraulic1 (aka hydraulic1-endcap) has been remixed by shortening the other endcap. The original part was too narrow. The is a lot of room left for improvement (such as the hinge pins interfering with the linkage), so please feel free.
