<p>I made this for the fidget contest so it's really a “flash” design !</p><p>So, not so much for the looks!</p><p>So many fidget thingies already exist on this site and others (thingiverse) some are even commercially available; I hope I came up with something a little more original, but you know, big world, so you never know if it's not been designed already.</p><p>Before you try to print (it takes about 2.5 hours at 0.2 with no support if you place on face correctly the top and the choice plate), I would like you to look at the stl files and imagine what this thing does (even though, if you have read carefully, there should be a hint!).</p><p>The tricky part was the design of the PLA spring and its tuning. I believe I tried 5 or 6 different shapes and finally came up with this one which is springy enough but not too springy, I think.</p><p>It also produces a loud noise when making the decision (not quite like a gavel but the verdict comes anyway).</p><p>My other photo shows to those that are not familiar with design, that its not “a long fleuve tranquille” as we say in french.</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>PS: in case you want to change the choice plate, it should be easy to design you own… (just saying for your makes)&nbsp;</p><p>rear part 56.40 x 17.50 front part 53.40x 17.50 rear part thickness 0.80 front part thickness&nbsp;</p><p>0.80</p>
