The tiny pins on DeCIMate gearboxes are notoriously prone to warping and snapping off under stress. To safeguard these delicate components, a protective cover is strategically placed over them, shielding not only the pins but also the wires that connect to the pins from potential damage. This robust design features a zip tie looped around it for secure attachment directly onto the motors themselves. To ensure a snug fit of the cover over the motors, technicians must first solder the wires parallel to the back of the motors, creating a stable base for the protective casing to slide into place with ease.
