Decimal to binary converter
thingiverse
We're going to make understanding how to convert decimal numbers into binary easier by using a hands-on approach with sticks and a base plate measuring exactly 128mm, 64mm, 32mm, 16mm, 8mm, 4mm, 2mm, and 1mm. Start by drawing a line that is 101 mm long for example. Now place some sticks side by side so their total length matches the drawn line. There's only one way to do it! Now looking at your base plate, start with the longest stick in place. Each time you see a stick in, count it as a zero and each time you see a stick out, count it as one.
