DEC PDP-11 Unibus and Qbus LED mounting receptacles
thingiverse
This is an extensively revised version of my Qbus PDP-11/03 LED mount (Thing #2829191).\r\n\r\nUpon opening up the PDP-11/05 console and discovering it utilizes three 6-LED mounts for address and data LEDs as well as one 1-LED mount for run, I found out that it was actually quite different from what I initially thought. See the photos of the original mounts.\r\nI decided to revise that OpenSCAD script to generate those sizes accordingly, so here it is.\r\n\r\nThis also generates all sizes from one to eight LEDs. Although DEC may have used only the one, three and six-sized or even if they existed as a part, I thought it would be nice to include them here for completeness' sake if anyone needs LED standoffs for a modern project.\r\n\r\nNo need to bother with the Customiser; just open it up and uncomment the required one you need between the scissor lines ----8<----. No external libraries are needed.\r\n\r\nThe demo of all eight sizes is (naturally) the line Demo(); if you need it.\r\n\r\nGiven the facet setting (120), it may take a while to render, so grab yourself a cuppa whilst you run it.\r\n\r\nColour of the originals was a very dark charcoal grey; black filament is ideal.
