Deathstar Extruder Spinner
thingiverse
When I put together my 101Hero printer, one of the first tweaks I made was swapping out for a Bowden extruder. As soon as I spotted a Batman spinner perched atop the NEMA17 axle, I knew I had to create some legendary derivatives. What better way to celebrate early May than with a Death Star spinner? To show it off when not in use, I included a half-size version of muckychris's Star Wars Display Stand. This way, you can still marvel at the might of the Galactic Empire. This design is based on hendo420 and muckychris's work - thanks to both of them for their contributions. * deathstar_assembled1.stl was created specifically for the preview image. Unfortunately, the stand got embedded in the Death Star during printing, so it won't function as a spinner unless you have an extremely long shaft that clears the extruder. * deathstar_assembled2.stl should print without any issues if you use build plate supports. However, I'm not sure whether either of the assembled models will be able to unscrew easily. The spinner itself is offset from the stand, so it might break free from any supports.
