Death Stranding Die-Hardman Mask
thingiverse
I recently got an Xbox 360 Kinect before watching the Death Stranding trailer featuring Die-Hardman, and it motivated me to create my own after scanning my head in 3D. My homemade mask isn't exactly like the actual Die-Hardman mask; I took some artistic liberties to fit my face perfectly. Looking back at it now, there are some changes I'd like to make for a more accurate look, especially when comparing my picture with the original. Since I have a pretty big head and Germanic features, your experience might differ from mine. To improve upon my design, you can access the blend files and modify them as you see fit, but remember to multiply the mask size by 100 before printing. There are no pre-made loops for straps or strings in this design, so costume glue could easily attach it to my forehead, nose, and cheeks. I'm labeling it as a work-in-progress (WIP). Future plans include printing it in ABS plastic, smoothing out the surface with acetone, and then applying a hydro graphic dip in a carbon fiber texture. Finally, I'll add paint to the cheeks and details for an accurate representation, and I'll post instructions and pictures for that process. I'd like to give special thanks to the hard ops addon for making it easier to visualize the booleans. Although it wasn't necessary to use, it helped me see the design more clearly. DieHardman.zip is a zip file containing the STL model of my homemade mask.
