The X Wing miniatures game demands precision and accuracy. To meet these demands, this design was created specifically for use with the X Wing game. Printing settings are critical to achieving optimal results. To start, select your printer brand from the list below: Ultimaker. From there, choose your specific printer model: Ultimaker 2. Next, decide whether or not to use rafts: Yes. Rafts can help prevent warping during the printing process. However, they may also leave a residue on the printed part. Consider whether or not to use supports: No. Supports are used to hold up overhanging parts of the print, but in this case, they were deemed unnecessary. Take note of any special instructions for printing this design. Originally, it was printed in three stages. First, the two main turret parts were printed separately. Next, the two gun gears were added. Finally, the gun barrels and muzzles were attached. For optimal results, use PLA as the print material and set the layer thickness to 0.1mm. To prevent cushioning on the top surface of the print, increase the top and bottom layers to 0.8mm. Additionally, decrease the nozzle temperature to 200C. This will help ensure a smooth finish. Note that using no supports for the hole in the base of the turret can result in a messy print. However, with proper cleaning, it should not affect the movement of the parts.
