Death Star Corridor Diorama

Death Star Corridor Diorama

I liked the Death Star Corridor diorama that Norm from Tested posted for laser cutting acrylic. It turned out really nice! But, since I do not have a laser cutter, I decided to take his layout files and model them into something I could print on my 3D printer. I removed the side walls and front framing structure and opted for a more open "stage" like look. My version is not as wide because of the smaller size of my printer bed, but is still scaled for 1:12 figures. I will use a plain sheet of paper to diffuse the LED back-lighting, as the back wall openings are not flush mounted like the one Norm did. Also, I did not do the openings in the floor and just gave the "look" of them with some raised areas. I made the sides of the floor framing beefier to help stability. Where these may just sit together, I'd suggest gluing after fit and finish. May add a gloss black paint to give the shine to it. Obviously, the shiny acrylic off the Glowforge is the best version of this!
