dEarring#112: ClawGrab

A short video demonstration is available at this link: http://youtu.be/R54-ajKoB7A. The design of these grabbers was inspired by the YPS magazine's gadgets, even though it's a bit too bad that the original version is now history. This particular version has fewer sections compared to its predecessors, mainly because it became too large for earrings. However, you can easily resize and add more sections to make it reach from your couch all the way into your fridge! This design utilizes the axis from the yard-stick earring. Just be careful when using it, as it's a bit fragile and might break if too much force is applied while cleaning the print. Future models will likely have a larger diameter axis or adopt a push-fit design to avoid such issues. Printing in one piece is preferred, but it can be quite time-consuming to clean without soluble support material.
