This protective dust cap was designed in order to safeguard against dirt or debris getting stuck in the plug when not being used. In addition, a Sketchup .skp file has been added so anyone who downloads this project can modify it according to their own preferences. Important information for making the protective cap is included below. It's worth noting that this design was created with the 3D modeling software called Sketchup. The end result is a cap that provides a snug fit. If you're planning on printing out the protective cap, here are the settings I used for my own printer: Printing settings include using PLA filament, heating up the nozzle to 210 degrees Celsius, and lowering it down at a layer height of .1 mm with a print speed of 40 mm/s.
