Deans Connector Soldering Stand

Deans Connector Soldering Stand

cults3d

I showed my buddy my Solder Fingers and he asked me for something to hold a Deans connector for soldering. I thought up this solution, but over-engineered it a bit, making it a fun little challenge. The thumbwheels rotate and click into place at 90 degrees. You can insert a mating connector and tighten the set screw to secure it, so it can hold the connector and act as a small heatsink. Screw holes allow you to mount it to your workbench or snap in a magnet. Printing this design best requires something more flexible than standard PLA - high-temp PLA, ABS, PETG, or ASA. You'll need: 4 M3x10 screws for dial assembly 2 M3x6 screws for set screws to hold mated connectors 12mmx3mm magnet for the base Check out a video showcasing this design in action: https://youtu.be/tqZjS9RRJLI
