Deadpool the Space Merc
thingiverse
Thanks to the brilliant artists whose original models I've repurposed into a unique creation. This custom model serves two primary purposes: 1. I've always wanted a Deadpool Space Marine, so I joked with my friends that I could 3D print one. They're currently playing Warhammer 40K and discussing their models, which sparked the idea to create a humorous twist on the classic Space Marine design. While I fully support purchasing official Games Workshop models when desired, I believe adding a dash of humor to tabletop gaming can be refreshing. 2. A friend recently started 3D printing and was initially disheartened by the lack of quality in some table top gaming models available online. He typically supports high-quality creators through Kickstarter campaigns, ensuring he receives exceptional models. To demonstrate the possibilities of DIY creativity, I decided to show him how combining disparate models with a few tools can yield impressive results – all for personal use, of course. To bring this hybrid model to life, I employed Meshmixer and Netfabb in tandem. Meshmixer facilitated removing unwanted parts, merging separate components together, smoothing areas (such as shoulder pad logos), and blending the once-separate parts seamlessly. Netfabb played a crucial role in creating a single, cohesive shell while reducing the overall polygon count and file size.
