DeadlyThorn: A hellboy's Samaritan inspired model making practice

I'm brand new to 3D modeling and design, but i was inspired by Adam Savage's masterful recreation of the Samaritan from Hellboy, as well as a newfound love of ruby, to take a shot at the dark with 3D modeling, and this is the result, and i could not be happier with how well i did considering my skill level. i sat down yesterday at noon with my Ipad, logitech crayon pen, and the Shapr3D app, and worked non stop until 9 or 10, at which point i stopped for the night at option #1, unhappy with the handle, i took a second shot at it today with some help from the internet, designed option #2. This is a project i'll likely come back to once my skills have improved to design an even better version.
