Deadlift Plate Booster
thingiverse
I've grappled with perfect form during deadlifts. After a bit of research, I discovered that my 45lb weight plates are 50mm smaller in diameter than standard regulation plates. This drops the bar 25mm and increases difficulty in proper form at the start of the lift. I engineered these blocks to raise the plates 25 mm, bringing the bar to the correct height. However, deadlifts put certain body types at a mechanical disadvantage, so there's no reason not to elevate it slightly more if you're taller or have shorter arms. I designed this block to be modular - it has keyholes in the bottom for lower 'booster blocks' to raise it even higher. I've included the Fusion360 file and it's completely parametric. You can change the total lift from 25 mm to anything you want. I didn't design a booster block for this system yet, but feel free to create one. Printed in PETG and they've held up fine so far. I'm not dropping the weights on them or lifting any crazy amounts either.
