Dead of Winter Box Organizers
thingiverse
I design a set of custom trays that fit neatly inside my Dead of Winter game box. Each tray is small enough to be printed on my 3D printer. To optimize the print settings, I considered several factors: Rafts are not necessary in this case, and supports can also be omitted without compromising the quality of the print. During the printing process, I used Slic3r software to fine-tune the settings. One key issue that needed to be addressed was excessive gap filling in thin walls. To resolve this problem, I adjusted the exterior perimeters width to 0.52mm - incrementing from an initial value of 0.5 until the gap fill disappeared in the print preview. This allowed me to achieve a satisfactory print quality despite having very thin walls (just 1mm thick). To ensure flexibility and durability, the walls were left slightly flexible. In terms of design software, I relied on Autodesk Fusion 360 to create these custom trays.
