Dead Leaf Mantis

The following sculptures are part of a series dedicated to praying mantises. Each model is based on photogrammetry, with further refinement achieved through meshmixer and blender. This particular sculpture depicts an adult female dead leaf mantis, specifically Deroplatys desiccata. Three-dimensional prints of these models will be showcased at the Kaneko in Omaha, Nebraska as part of the Museum of Alternative History's exhibition. The event is scheduled to commence in June 2018.
