I purchased a simple, affordable DC 300W 20A CC CV Constant Current Adjustable Step-down Converter from eBay for under €5. This Chinese module features an abundance of cooling holes and accommodates two transistors. Occasionally, when the supply is disconnected, the module generates high voltage peaks. To mitigate this issue, I added two 6.8V 150A transistors in series-parallel configuration to the load. These transistors are securely attached to the output wires, resulting in a slightly larger dimension on one side of the box.
