I designed this little box to house this dc to dc converter that I bought on Ebay. It has a marking on the back of XY-3606, but I have seen these on Ebay and Amazon with other letters before the 3606. And with different numbers altogether. They may be getting hard to find. I searched for “dc usb buck 5A”. All kinds of different converters come up but some of these should be in the search results. The board measures 63mm's X 27mm's. This is a 12-24vdc in to 5vdc out at 5 amps. It has terminal blocks at each end and a standard 12vdc plug for input and a usb port for output. I use this to charge my Samsung tablet in my truck. It's on Verizon and I use Waze and Google Maps for navigation. The vdc digital display measures 23mm's X 10mm's. The display part. The board measures 23mm's without ears, 33mm's with ears, and 11mm's wide. I wired it into the terminal blocks next to the usb port. I threw a piece of black tape across the back of the led display in case things got too close in the box. The hole in the lid for this display is very tight. I had to carefully scrape the sides with a razor blade until it fit. It is a very tight press fit and that's all that is holding it in place. If you go too far you may need a drop of super glue to hold the display in place. Let me know if you have vdc displays with different dimensions and I can remix the lid. The square hole in the box is for the usb port. There is a temporary support in the middle for easy bridging, easy printing. Cut it out post print. The lid snaps on to the box pretty tight. Very tight the first few times. I started the end of the lid in the middle of the box then slid it down to the end and snapped in the other end. After 3-4 times it loosens up a little.
