DC Power Jack Housing
thingiverse
This is a housing for a DC power jack that can be screwed onto any electronic device without a built-in power jack. It can also be seamlessly integrated into your design. I used this housing as an add-on for the Fume Extractor, which was designed by nrp and available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17086. To complete the project, you will need a DC power jack of the same type shown in one of the images provided. You can purchase it from various online retailers, such as Distrelec at https://www.distrelec.de/de/dc-power-jack-female-mmserie-wr-dc-90-tht-wuerth-elektronik-694108301002/p/30009341 or Lovemyswitches at https://lovemyswitches.com/pcb-mount-dc-power-jack/. Before assembly, remove the left solder tail from the DC power jack. This is not necessary and would occupy too much space within the housing. You only need to use the two lower tails. After soldering the wires onto the DC power jack barrel, slide it into the housing and feed the cable through the hole on the side.
