I needed to create a DC-motor mount for some mechanical experiments. Before printing one of the existing mounts, I checked the dimensions first by making a simple 3D model of common Mabuchi RS-550SH DC-motors. These motors come in many configurations regarding electrical specs and mechanical power provided on the shaft. The largest outer diameter is 37.2mm. If you're worried about wasting filament, time, or effort - don't print these files yet. The files include: a simple motor 3D model, a motor mount front plate (now 5.4mm thickness, better fit on y-axis where it hits the baseplate), and the motor mount base plate. To make printing easier, the mount consists of two parts. To achieve good strength, they should be screwed together eventually - and glued if needed. A possible weak point is the junction of the mount screw lugs on the base plate. Time will tell. Screw the front plate to the faceplate of the motor using the screws provided with the motor. The parts need to be screwed together tightly with 2 screws and nuts M3 or similar imperial sized required. Guys in the US, please use metric-sized stuff! The end of the baseplate has a support with a lip that could be cut off to give room for rubber mating if needed. There are holes at the end intended for feeding zip ties through if needed. If you see the parts don't fit perfectly, take a sharp knife or file and adjust them. I'm done designing - these files won't be modified soon. First, I need to start experimenting. The front plate shows terrible print quality from my Cetus 3D printer due to poor UP! slicer settings. This is the underside of a part printed with rafting. The top layer of the raft looks surprisingly good.
