A DC motor, belonging to a group of rotational electric devices, transforms direct electrical power into mechanical force. The majority of these motors utilize magnetic field forces for operation. A distinctive feature of most DC motors is their internal mechanism, which could be electromechanical or electronic in nature, that periodically reverses the current direction within a portion of the motor to change its direction of rotation.
