DC Logo Drawstring Stopper
thingiverse
This is an accessory that can be threaded onto a hoodie drawstring to prevent the string from getting pulled up into the hood. Installation involves pushing the plastic-encased end of a drawstring through the top hole and pushing it all the way in, using a tiny screwdriver if necessary. Once the end appears at the other end of the part, it can be pulled the rest of the way with pliers, needle-nose working best. The part can be threaded all the way onto the string or left on the end. If the part fits loosely or the hole is not big enough, I will upload a file with a differently sized hole if you tell me how much bigger or smaller it needs to be and ask nicely. Printing this part yields best results when using ABS or another material with high heat tolerance due to hoodies and jackets often getting left in cars that may become excessively hot inside. PLA won't stand up to such an environment, so it's recommended to use a glass bed for printing, as the rough finish caused by buildtak can make your piece look unfinished if you don't finish it yourself. It's best to print without supports or raft to achieve optimal results. Precautions include removing stoppers before washing or drying (or any other environments with high temperatures) to avoid melting the part and posing a fire risk. Many thanks go to Ashwinder for modeling the logo I remixed for this thing!
