This driver is based on the "Little Driver" from Digital Sqrt. I created an alternate version using components that are widely available and allow for the addition of an Automotive Fuse. The controller completely disconnects the voltage source from the board through a high-quality optocoupler. The power source can be as high as 40v, which is the maximum voltage supported by IRF 1404. To secure the automatic fuse, I soldered two 6.3mm Faston terminals directly onto the board. You can connect directly to the RAMPS without modification at the exit of the heated table. If you plan to connect the signal from the controller to a signal with less than 5.5v (for example, direct on the Arduino), be sure to close jumper JP1.
