<p>I needed a charger for my laptop in my car. So I got this very common DC-DC step up voltage regulator that can convert the car's 12-14 volts to my laptops 19 volts.</p> <p>I've let the heatsinks be flush to the outside of the box, this makes cooling slightly less effective of course but for me it works well. And the sharp heatsink edges don't risk scratching the car's interior this way.
