The DC-DC converters are cost-effective, priced around $3, and boast an impressive 90% efficiency. I utilize them to power my Raspberry Pis that are mounted on a DIN rail at the end of my desk for easy organization (check out my DIY RPi DIN Rail mount). Frustrated with tape-wrapped converters cluttering my workspace, I designed and 3D-printed a DIN rail housing to declutter further. This print works best at 0.15mm resolution on an Up! Plus printer; lower resolutions (0.2-0.3mm) should still yield good results. The top part requires no support structure, while the base section necessitates one during printing.
