DC-17 clone wars blaster pistol BattleFront 2

DC-17 in several parts, upper and lower sections slide together seamlessly, with holes allocated for a 6-32 set screw to secure them firmly in place. A for-end brace was printed separately as it refused to print without supports that were impossible to remove. The knurled end cap slides smoothly into the back of the upper section, though some sanding may be necessary to remove layer lines and supports, allowing a perfect fit. The magazine plate features a hole that can be tapped with an 8-32x1/2 or shorter countersunk machine screw for easy removal. Alternatively, it is friction fit, so you could fill the hole with bondo when preparing to paint, or use something simple like TinkerCAD to fill it in before printing if you don't plan on taking it on and off. I designed this feature because I plan to add an electronic setup. The trigger v2 has a slightly above 3mm hole for using a 3mm wood dowel as the trigger pin, since printing small pins doesn't work well. Trigger v1 should work with the provided trigger pin if you don't want to use a wood dowel. The trigger brace solid is installed in the slot right behind the trigger, while the trigger brace v2 is installed further aft. The trigger brace solid acts as a stop for the trigger, and the other provides spring tension using an elastic band, which I used a 1inch diameter band for. The model includes many minor details that didn't print well initially. However, they can be easily brought back out with a dremel or soldering iron. This issue should be specific to the v9 lower, so I have since removed it and added v10 to solve this problem. You may need to adjust the orientation of the parts for optimal printing, as they are in the orientation that builds the model within Fusion. For example, I print the lower upside down. This was my first major design in CAD, so it was a learning process, but I'm happy with the results and hope to do more soon. I hope you all enjoy! Update: I added magazine v3 and removed magazine v2. Magazine v3 has a better hole for accepting a commonly available #8 machine screw. Update: I added a new threaded barrel with an M22x3 thread, allowing for some loosened tolerances to accommodate 3D printing. This was made for the suppressor mod by OofOof (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4384104). I also created a threaded rear cap for the suppressor, which I tried uploading as a remix but had difficulty with it, so I added it here instead. Update: I learned more about modeling for 3D printing and added some chamfers to upper v7 to reduce the amount of supports you need to remove. If you set your slicer to require more than 45degrees before generating supports, you should have fewer problems.
