DB9 Connector Adapter
thingiverse
This is a DB9-DB9 Connector Converter housing.\nTo build your connector converter, you will need the following parts:\ntwo DB9 simple connectors (as shown in the photos); Depending on what kind of converter you require, you can use male-male, female-female or male-female DB9 connectors.\nInternal connection wires are also necessary;\nI soldered two rows of 2.5 dupont pins onto one connector, and I connected wires with female dupont headers to the other connector. This way, you can build a DB9 converter with a fully customizable pinout (you can easily switch between crossover or straight-through connections).\nThe housing has three parts that need to be printed:\nthe housing\na small fastening clamp - to keep the lid and the housing together\nThe case lid\nPS. I uploaded an improved version of the lid (v3) on 29/07/2019, which is supposed to fit better.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \n CTC Prusa I3\n \n Rafts: \n No\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n 0.4\n \n Infill: \n 10\n \n Notes: \n Depending on your printing resolution and the use (or not) of a cooling fan, some slight filing may be needed on the edges of the lid to make it fit perfectly on top of the housing.\nUPDATE February 21, 2017\nI uploaded a slightly larger clamp that fits the shape of the housing better. I also kept the older smaller version and renamed it "db9_clamp_small.STL". Use whichever fits best your print.
