DB's Adjustable Locking Arm

DB's Adjustable Locking Arm

thingiverse

I've finally had enough of my workbench boom lamp's constant failures. It was time to find a better one, but what I discovered were more of the same old problems - joints locking up due to a friction clamp. Swinging the lamp and general vibration always caused them to loosen and droop. The ones with locking joints either cost too much or looked cheaply made. I also wanted something that could be easily customized - interchangeable lamps or mounting options. So, I came up with my own solution, using hardware that costs less than $20 and took just 24 hours to make. To adapt this design for users with smaller build sizes, the third part of the lamp fixture is split into four separate pieces.
