Dayton 1LNG8 Motor Adapter
thingiverse
The rifle case feeder is fantastic but the JGY-370 motor is woefully underpowered for anything but a handful of cases. I did some research and found where people had replaced the motor in commercial units with Dayton motors with 40 in-lb of torque. After looking at the motors avaible from Dayton, I settled on the 1LNG8 model. Below is a link to the motor on Grainger's website. However, I was lucky to find a brand new motor on eBay for half the cost. I didn't want to reprint the collator unibody so I made an adapter to fit the Dayton motor to the JGY-370 bolt holes. You will need to cut back the lower bolt tabs on the base so that the adapter will fit. See the included images. You will need 4 M3x5mm bolts, 4 M3 square nuts (link below), and 4 10-32x1/2" bolts. Put square nuts in the recesses of the adapter plate then bolt the motor with the 10-32 bolts. The motor will keep the m3 nuts in place in the adapter and then you can bolt it to the unibody with the JGY-370 bolt pattern. The Dayton motor needs a bit more clearance so that you can attach the tube mount. Again, I didn't want to have to reprint anything so I made a spacer that goes between the base and tube mount. It provides the clearance the 1LNG8 motor needs.
