Daymaker adapter ring for Honda VTX semi-adjustable including STEP files

This will allow the Chinese Daymaker clones to fit a Honda VTX, tested on 2005 1300R and 1300C. You MUST not overtighten and obtain two #8 or 4mm (preferred) screws 1.5 inches long to secure it. Do not use thread locker. The CAD STEP files are included if you need modifications made easy (non-commerial, no selling these on eBay unless I get a check too! haha) I have made these in PETG, ABS or ASA, even Nylon if you are a beast! I print .3 layer using a .4 nozzle (but 0.5 width) at 245C and NO FAN using MG Chemicals black, tougher than a gorilla on steroids! EDIT - Just updated the original file 5 hrs after the posting... we installed it with the 1.5 degree plate and the "hook" would not fit in the slot. It is more "pointy" now and should work, but in our case we just snapped it off with pliers... not necessary to work, just keeps it from dropping out upon removal. Also, added a 0.75 degree front plate. It should raise or lower beam 3-3/16" in a 20 foot span. The 1.5 degree is good for 6.3" in 20'. (alternative shims for the mount to change the angle are also in the files. EDIT: (#1) Added alternative "Inner-lite-version.stl" -- this eliminates the "moon shape" on top that is really just used for alignment. Watch it closely or use "Inner_Daymaker_Honda_VTX.stl" that fits tighter. (#2) Added shims to fit under the headlight mount, 2 degree (8.4 inch drop in 20 feet) and 3 degree (12.6" drop in 20 feet). I print the shims at 0.1mm height to have a better sloped surface. The shims are closed-hole or slotted. You need 12mm socket and a wrench to loosen you mount bolts and slip this between under the headlight bracket (thin part forward to lower the beam). Don't use PLA haha Every one I have done needs 1.5-2 degrees downward.. Good luck. Keep the shiny side up!
