Fellows, what is that: 100 downloads and 2 likes?! I'm going to erase the main part for that. No, just joking. But anyway, this is bad style. If you don't like, than don't print it, and if you don't print it, don't download. Thanks. (I count 'collected' as another form of like) When you look among billions of tiny displays for something you can read in bright daylight, not many candidates can be found. Especially if you don't want to spend big money. I found only two in the size of 7": -a 1280x800(?) with big heat dissipation, 660 ccd (lower range when talking about sunlight readable) and only 4 steps of dimming (making it almost impossible to use it at night as a navigation screen while sailing) and -NHD-7.0-HDMI-N-RSXN-CTU with 880 ccd, touchscreen, 800x480, dimming with pwm (really, no onscreen display). Wich you can get here: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/newhaven-display-intl/NHD-7.0-HDMI-N-RSXN-CTU/NHD-7.0-HDMI-N-RSXN-CTU-ND/7707819 This case is for the NHD. For dimming, I used an Arduino Nano (the attached ini-file) and a Rotary Encoder Arduino KY-040 (but cutted it a little tinier with some dremel stuff). The display wants to have 5-7V, wich is uncommon at boats or cars. I used a dc-dc stepdown module (44mm x 23 mm) (may be this one) https://www.banggood.com/LM2596-DC-DC-Verstellbar-Step-Down-Schaltregler-Power-Supply-Module-p-88252.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN) For the four main mount screws I used screwed bushings with 5mm outer diameter for M4 screws 14mm long. I also provided a backside for normal M4 nuts (_nn.stl). All else needed is a dc jack plug (glued in it's pit with hotglue). I printed PLA transparent gray wich looks quiete good. The tiny middle ring of the knob3.stl was printed with tpu. Dimming: it dims fast with just turning, it dims in fine steps when pressed while turning. The tiny knob tube had to be scaled to 107% to fit the dial. All else was printed at 100%. The Shade thing is printed with tpu, and flat - wich requieres a big build area. Largest side is around 400mm. A quick detach mount system can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3655055
