Day of the Tentacle Box'o'Laughs

My lasting impression of the Box'o-laughs from "Day of the Tentacle" remains vivid - that initial few pixel representation in the game's inventory still sticks in my mind. A pivotal scene unfolds, where you must dissect a plastic clown containing the hidden Box'o-laughs within it. Securing this coveted prize requires the very same Box'o-laughs that echoes with a hearty "HA-HA-HA", an essential item to clinch in a future costume contest and ultimately rescue another character from the game. Now, the chance has arrived for you to construct your own version of this Box'o-laughs - it necessitates only a tiny 10-second voice recorder board and a diminutive speaker, along with some fabric glue to conceal the direct line of sight through the three slits onto the speaker. The specific model I utilized required 4.5 volts; thus, a corresponding opening on its bottom allows for a simple insert of a triple AAA battery holder. To take it to another level, I embedded this voice recorder inside a small shock sensor fashioned from a little ball. This enables the Box'o-laughs to emit its distinctive "HA-HA-HA" as soon as someone gently collides with the box itself. If needed, you can make use of that second hole at the base to integrate a sliding switch, giving users the option to silence the device whenever required. Unhappily for all us, I couldn't catch any images of my completed Box'o-laughs since I gifted it as a present... The audio file corresponding to its characteristic laughter resides in the supplementary thing-files. My well-wishes to everyone entering 2016 with cheer and optimism!
